Tarot Cards of 2021: The Hierophant & The Moon

About a month or so before the end of 2020, I sat down with my tarot deck & asked for the insight & guidance society would need for the year ahead. I've been doing this for the last couple of years now, working with the numerological tarot card of the year as well as my own intuitive pull (last year I pulled The Magician). This year I pulled The Moon which I think is really well suited based on the energies we experienced last year & how they are currently affecting us, & I also think it's a great complimentary card to the numerological card of the year which is The Hierophant.

On New Year's Eve I sat down to talk about what to expect for the year ahead in terms of what we will need or need to do in order to work through whatever comes up or comes our way. I also talked about the interaction between The Moon & The Hierophant & what their union can mean for us.

I also highly encourage you to pull your own personal tarot card of the year to be your anchor or guide for what to accomplish or how to navigate the social shifts/changes that we might experience. I don't think that 2021 is going to be a breeze, I think it's going to be a year of confronting & overall confrontation to be able to repair & reconfigure what aspects of society are simply not working or which aspects of ourselves are holding us back & preventing us from getting to where we need to be.

The theme of this year is shadow & shadow work - going through the aspects of self that we've ignored out of fear or hoping that if you leave it long enough it will go away. To be a leader & to take control over your life & see changes in your community, you have to be the change you wish to see.

It's a year of hard work, but a worthwhile & necessary journey into self love & self acceptance for the greater good.
